E.H. Taylor Single Barrel & Blood Oath

Tonight’s, or I should say last night’s cocktail was Colonel E H Taylor’s Single Barrel. I enjoyed this great bourbon at Bacon Brothers Public House with my stunning cocktail companion. I had a great conversation with the two bartenders and was even offered a sip of some rare Blood Oath Bourbon from a very nice young lady and fellow bourbon enthusiast sitting beside us.  If you are ever in Upstate SC, I suggest you stop by Bacon Brothers and enjoy their ambiance, great food and cocktails.  The Blood Oath Bourbon was a very nice surprise as was the E H Taylor. I already have the E H Taylor in my collection and I will be adding the Blood Oath.  Here are the tasting notes of E H Taylor, and although not my own they are pretty accurate.

“The aroma carries lightly toasted oak, with dried figs and butterscotch. One sip brings flavors of sweetness balanced with tobacco and dark spices. The finish is just long enough to prepare the palette for another sip. The bottle itself is a likeness to Colonel Taylor’s original design used over a century ago”.

Try it if you haven’t already!
